NoMo's Nursery

Our desire is to create a pleasant, safe and clean environment in which your child has his/her physical and spiritual needs met. Sunday Nursery classes are available at 9:00 and 10:30 for children 6 weeks to 24 months old.

Why We Do It

At First Baptist North Mobile, it is our goal to accept joint responsibility with parents in ensuring the spiritual nurture of their child. Therefore, we are honored to have your child in our Nursery and want to assure you that we desire to create a pleasant, safe and clean environment in which your child has his/her physical and spiritual needs met.

New To Nomo’s Nursery?

Please sign-in your child by completing a Nursery Security Form located at either of Nomo’s Welcome Desk and giving it to your child’s teacher. The teacher will give you the yellow copy of the form along with a vibrating pager. If you are needed during the worship service, you will be paged. If you fail to respond to the page, your three digit pager number will be displayed on the small screens above the exit signs on both sides of the worship platform. For the security of your child, he/she will be released only when the Security Form and pager are returned by the parent. Pick up a Nursery Ministry brochure for complete details about our Nursery Ministry. Also, don’t forget to read the Nursery Policies.

Pat The Bible

Because small children can learn simple lessons from the Bible, we use curriculum and activities in our Creeper and Toddler Rooms. We have a curriculum for our Toddlers entitled “Pat The Bible.” “Pat The Bible”, a puppet, lays a foundation for toddlers to know that God created everything, God loves them, and that Jesus is the Son of God.

Parent/Baby Dedication

There is a threefold purpose of this Parent/Baby Dedication service:

  1. It is an opportunity to celebrate with these parents the gift that they have received from God.
  2. This service allows each parent to publicly accept their role as the primary faith nurturers of their child.
  3. This service is an opportunity for our Church Family to acknowledge the privilege we have to encourage and assist parents in the proper training and development of their children.

We have a Parent/Baby Dedication Service four times a year so watch the First Edition for complete details.

How You Can Help

It is also our desire to provide the best leadership possible in this area. Whether you are a parent, grandparent, or just someone who loves children, contact us about serving in this vital ministry of our church.

The most important way you can help us is by serving as a parent volunteer in our Nursery Ministry. The parent volunteer rotation is a six-week rotation (once every six weeks) that is equivalent to only fifteen minutes a week. This rotation ensures that our worker/child ratio is small and enables our workers to minister more effectively to the children. Please contact our Nursery Director this Sunday or contact us by phone (679-3266) or email (info@kidgrid.org) about serving in this incredible ministry.
